The Possibility Is Here
Written and transcribed by Terry Grant
This is the conclusion of Ishvara's New Year's message which I have transcribed and edited from a talk he gave on January 1. - TG.
Ishvara:
You are to become light: light in your thinking, light in your body, light in your awareness. Taking care of the physical body is the first step. Do the things that make you feel better. Trust that those things are what the body is asking for. There is so much complacency in the world. The media recently reported that "obesity is good for you", because the food manufacturers were afraid that dieting would cut into their profits. You can see how the consensus world controls everything about your life. That is the world you are to come out of. THAT is the world you are to depart from, not this beloved planet. You are to come out of the world of consensus reality, the world of make-believe, the world of religious monstrosities that say, "This isn't it."
If you have any doubt about anything you believe, just apply this rule to it: Does it say, "This is it, this is your life, make it work", or does it say, "Wait for something else, wait for a better life; this is an illusion, this isn't it"? The latter is always a dead ringer; it tells you right there that it is a false teaching. If the teaching says you can't be powerful, that you can't know, it is a lie. You have the measuring stick to gage everything in your life. You can see directly: Does it benefit and support a connected awareness? Is it good for the earth? Is it good for humans? Does it create connection, or does it create division? Does it inspire one with hope, with greater possibility? Does the teaching you cling to support the new human, The New Consciousness that comes right out of what is here, not escaping or denying what is here?
The New Consciousness comes right out of what is here. The potential is here. That is the new teaching: The potential is here. The possibility is here. The moment is here. The body can transform. The emotions can be transcended. The emotions can be understood. The intellect can move into the right place where it coexists with higher intelligence, greater awareness, where the intellect is submissive to feeling-knowing.
The way it is now, the intellect more or less obscures feeling-knowing. Yet you can turn it around so that the intellect becomes subservient to feeling-knowing, higher awareness, so that it sees through the superstitious nonsense of the world. All of this assists the body--the cells, the organs, the tissue, the bone--to be new and transformed.
My feeling-knowing says that we need not even taste death. That is a big step out onto a limb, isn't it? The intellect says, "Everybody dies." But maybe some people haven't died. Maybe they have lived so long that they outlived all the people who knew them.
But "not dying" is not the point. Living is the point. If you are afraid of dying, you are already dead. The point is living: living to the fullest of your potential as a universal being, embracing this truth that you resonate with, that you know to be possible. The more you know it is possible, the more you will know it IS. That is the way it works: The door opens, you go through the door, and you keep going through and going through.
So we come back to commitment: If you don't have the commitment to this truth, you may as well go and get comfortable in some religion, some spiritual discipline, and wait for something "better": Heaven or another life or another realm. And wait, and wait, and wait, because it won't happen; you will go to your grave waiting. If that satisfies you, fine. The universe, above all else, is about being present with what is. It will not condemn you. There is no reward or punishment in the universe; there is no better or worse. There is just Life.
But if you act upon this awareness of greater possibilities, you tend to live a fuller life, you have different experiences, you have more connections, and these connections, these realizations, this truth that you commit to, will sustain you through whatever is taking place in the world. It doesn't matter. When you are in this place of knowing, you have a continual support system, constantly holding you up to whatever you are going through. It doesn't exempt you from experiences, but it sure can help you through them.
I am compassionate for individuals who are so full of beliefs, concepts and conditioning that they cannot allow for a greater possibility. Those things are the cause of their suffering. I wish to alleviate that suffering. Just because humans have seemingly always suffered does not mean that is the lot for human life. Suffering is the consequence of erroneous beliefs and concepts about the universe, about what Life is.
This message is part 4 of 4 parts. It began with "To Be Committed To This Truth," part 1 of 4; was followed with "No Boundary, No Limit," part 2 of 4; and was continued with "A Place Of Absolute Knowing," part 3 of 4.
